Our lovely Chipping Sodbury florist shop is located in Hatherells Yard on the High Street, tucked in behind Lloyds Pharmacy. Hello! I’m Rach and I’m the face behind The Flower Bee. I took the plunge in to the world of Floristry in 2016, when I took a couple of weeks off from my Accountancy job to attend Flower School Glasgow, and haven’t looked back since. From 2016 until the end of 2018 I worked for a local florist, which helped me find my feet, and pushed me out of my comfort zone several times. In March 2019, The Flower Bee opened its doors for the first time. I never planned on running my own business so soon, but I would never look back. I love being my own boss more than I ever thought I would, choosing the florals every week, making decisions on which gift stock to order, and being the point of contact for all my lovely customers. I enjoy all aspects of the job, from the ordering to the sweeping up. From putting together a lovely bridal bouquet, to designing someone’s final farewell flowers. I love the challenge of something new, so don’t be afraid to let me know any ideas you have. I’m so lucky to run a business that brings so much happiness to people on a daily basis and doubly lucky to be living my own wee flowery dream.

Jolies Fleurs is based in Thornbury near Bristol and was created 4 years ago by Jo Preece. Having spent many a year in Primary Education but always had a passion for all things flowery and creative–I simply followed my dream and made it happen! Flowers make people smile, send beautiful messages and tell wonderful stories… whatever the occasion.that is why I love to create beautiful floral ‘stories’. Whatever the price range, theme or occasion Jolies Fleurs are proud to ensure an absolutely personal approach where each creation is unique. Creating bouquets and arrangements for any occasion (our secret favourite is the ‘Just Because…’bouquet because we are quite frankly total romantics!!). We are passionate about sustainability and it is at the heart of our styling. Minimising the use of single-use plastics and adopting environmentally friendly packaging as much as we can.We also use locally grown flowers when in season from a selection of ‘Flowers From the Farm’ growers. We love to ‘flower up’ weddings–whatever the size!
