Established in 1996 Thistles florist was originally in a High Street location. In order to offer a more bespoke service the business is now run from my home studio which allows more flexibility to my clients and I can offer home visits and out of hour’s consultations. Clients are welcome to visit my studio in Ashtead to talk through their requirements by appointment or orders can be placed on my website or by telephone. Even after many years in the industry it is important to me to keep up with new varieties & trends and offer my clients the best quality products and produce designs to the highest standard. I am a perfectionist and passionate about Floristry. I like to use British Flowers and foliage where possible and compost all my green waste and all my cardboard packing is recycled. Clients will often ask me to include plant material from their own garden in a design, which I am happy to do as it allows my work to be different; I will often add something from my own garden or pick grasses to give my work a quirky twist to stand out from the crowd.

Having grown up spending a lot of time in my parents florist shop, surrounded by flowers and inspiration I have now decided to introduce my passion and love for floristry to Buckinghamshire. I lived and grew up in North London and worked for my parents from the age of 15. Being taught first hand by my mother (one of the top floristry designers in the country) and attending Capel Manor College for 3 years to achieve my NVQ Level 3 – I learnt to put my own flair into my designs too. Helping run the family business inspired me to start my own from home. Buckinghamshire is now my home town with my growing family, husband Ashley and our two wonderful children.
My family are a big part of The Flower House…..they are the reason it began. I like to think I can bring a lot of joy and happiness through my designs, with weddings, memories of a loved one or a simple hand tied bouquet just to say thank you.
My most favourite part of designing flowers for such events is meeting the customers, collaborating with brides and helping bring their vision alive for their big day. Meeting families and helping put that very special touch to their goodbyes, and just being me. Being passionate about what I do and ultimately delivering the best service and building a good, reliable relationship with all my customers.
