From a farming background where ‘growing your own’ for the local show was a must, I have had a love of flowers since I was a young girl. My Grandad Woodley gave me my first bunch of sweet peas for my bedroom straight from his allotment, and that was it! I began ‘learning the ropes’ when I was 13 years old with a Saturday job at a local garden centre, being trained by an amazing floral designer. Since then I have used my flair for floral design to produce flowers for all occasions. I still enter local shows and national ‘NAFAS’ shows where I have won many prizes. Well, I have a love for everything ‘Alice in Wonderland’ – the story set in the countryside with a young girl’s imagination running wild seems very apt.
