Established in 1992, we have grown to become Vivid Floral Design… After being inspired by attending the local flower club with her Mum from the age of 9, Amanda went on to study at The Welsh College of Horticulture, which included an amazing placement in Jersey. On completing college Amanda’s parents helped her start up her business in an outbuilding on their farm and that is where Farmhouse Flowers was born, specialising in wedding and funeral flowers … In 2004 after a trip to a trade show Amanda was inspired to expand and open a shop to be able to provide flowers for all occasions and corporate clients, this resulted in the purchase of Greens N Things in Gresford, where business bloomed and continued to expand, it was in 2013 that we re-branded to Vivid Floral Design ready for the next stage as we had outgrown our premises… In 2014 after a year-long renovation we re-located just 2 miles away to 112 Chester Rd, Acton, Wrexham, to much larger premises and continued to grow. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, having been in the floral industry for over 20 years, I pride myself on providing the best customer service and beautiful bespoke designs. I’m proud of my ever-growing reputation for creating stunning bouquets and heartfelt farewell flowers. With a fresh stock of flowers arriving daily, all orders created are of top quality and freshness. I deliver to the local towns of Lewes and Uckfield and all surrounding villages up to a 7 mile radius. In addition to flowers and glassware, I have a selection of locally handmade gifts and homeware including flower fairies, bags, cushions, and jewellery, as well as Paperlink occasion cards. I run various workshops throughout the year, not just here in my studio, but at local venues working with other small businesses. I am a perfectionist and passionate about Floristry. I like to use British Flowers and foliage where possible and compost all my green waste and all my cardboard packing is recycled. Clients will often ask me to include plant material from their own garden in a design, which I am happy to do as it allows my work to be different; I will often add something from my own garden or pick grasses to give my work a quirky twist to stand out from the crowd.
